What is UX writing👀

UX writing is about orchestrating a conversation and communication between the user and the product. Words, sentences are crafted in such a way that they make the User Interface of the product easier to understand. It helps users to navigate throughout the product and offer assistance if something went wrong, it's the verbal translation of UX behind the product.

It has its own constraints like the number of characters to be used, involvement with interaction, or UI design. It is always there in every product, we just don’t realize it sometimes.

Challenge

I was just searching for some UX challenges and competitions so that I can improve my skill as a UX designer and came across this awesome 15 days UX writing challenge by Ryan Farrell. It consists series of daily scenarios that one has to solve with keeping the character limit in mind.

Since I am a UI UX designer, instead of just writing the text, I decided to comprehend the challenge in terms of visual as well as the UX behind them and explained my idea behind them.

My takeaways 🤞

It was an incredible experience for me while thinking about such awesome scenarios, It helped me a lot to develop empathy towards the users and to identify different pain points throughout the user flow. I am expecting to implement my learning of the above scenarios in my upcoming projects and to identify and then solve similar cases in my future projects.
